New Delhi [India], September 17 (ANI): The Legends League Cricket (LLC) is returning for another thrilling season, kicking off with a highly-anticipated match between Harbhajan Singh’s Manipal Tigers and Irfan Pathan’s Konark Suryas Odisha, formerly known as the Bhilwara Kings, on September 20.
This exciting edition will feature a total of 25 matches, with six competitive teams vying for supremacy. The top two teams will battle it out in the grand finale on October 16. The tournament showcases a diverse pool of over 200 players, taking the cricket action across four dynamic cities: Jodhpur, Surat, Jammu, and Srinagar. Notably, this season will mark the long-awaited return of cricket to Srinagar after four decades.
“Legends League Cricket offers an incredible platform for showcasing cricketing talent. This season promises to be even more exhilarating as we welcome renowned players like Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, and Ambati Rayudu,” said Suresh Raina, Captain of Toyam Hyderabad. “We are eagerly looking forward to starting the league in Jodhpur on the 20th of this month.”
Ambati Rayudu, representing Konark Suryas Odisha, expressed his excitement: “I am thrilled to once again play competitive cricket in the Legends League Cricket. The tournament will commence at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur and move to the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on September 27. The third leg will be hosted at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu starting October 3, marking a historic return of international cricket to the city after 40 years. The final segment of the league will take place at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar from October 9 to October 16, offering fans a long-awaited opportunity to witness live cricketing action.
