New Delhi [India], September 17 (ANI): Legends League Cricket (LLC) is making a grand return with its latest edition, commencing with a thrilling clash between Harbhajan Singh’s Manipal Tigers and Irfan Pathan’s Konark Suryas Odisha, formerly known as Bhilwara Kings, on September 20.
This season promises an exhilarating cricketing spectacle with a total of 25 matches to be played among six competitive teams. The tournament will culminate in a high-stakes final on October 16, where the top two teams will battle it out for supremacy. The franchise-based league boasts a diverse pool of over 200 seasoned players and will be hosted across four vibrant cities: Jodhpur, Surat, Jammu, and Srinagar, marking the much-anticipated return of cricket to Srinagar after a hiatus of 40 years.
“Legends League Cricket is an extraordinary platform that showcases the immense talent in cricket. This season, I am thrilled to welcome Shikhar Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik alongside Ambati Rayudu. We are eagerly anticipating the league’s kick-off in Jodhpur on the 20th of this month,” said Suresh Raina, Captain of Toyam Hyderabad, in an official statement.
Ambati Rayudu expressed his excitement about returning to competitive cricket: “I am really looking forward to playing at the Legends League Cricket once again. Having watched the previous matches, I can vouch for the exceptional level of cricket. It’s an honor to play alongside Irfan Pathan for Konark Suryas Odisha, and I’m sure the fans are in for some spectacular matches.”
Earlier today, Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina officially announced Krasa International Private Limited as the title sponsor for Legends League Cricket at a press conference.
The league will kick off at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur before moving to the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on September 27. The third leg of the tournament will be held at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu starting October 3, where international cricket will make a celebrated comeback after 40 years. The final leg will be hosted at the Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar from October 9 to October 16, offering local fans a long-awaited chance to witness live cricketing action.
