Inside Out 2 Outshines Deadpool & Wolverine for Summer’s Top Film

Despite its success, Deadpool & Wolverine was not the biggest blockbuster of the 2024 summer season. That honor belongs to Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2.

Although many predicted Deadpool & Wolverine would clinch the No. 1 spot over the summer, it was Inside Out 2 that took the crown with $650 million domestically. Deadpool & Wolverine followed closely behind at No. 2 with its $600-million milestone. Here are the summer’s top financial performers:

Films such as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Wicked, Moana 2, Joker: Folie à Deux, Gladiator II, and Venom: The Last Dance are poised to make their mark in the fall and holiday seasons.
