All hail Marvel Jesus! The dynamic duo of Deadpool & Wolverine is celebrating another monumental achievement at the box office this Labor Day weekend. The Merc with a Mouth’s inaugural Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) escapade has just surpassed the $600 million mark domestically. As of today, the latest installment in the Deadpool franchise stands at a staggering $599,525,117.00 according to The Numbers.
By the end of the day, this superhero film will have crossed this incredible milestone. This milestone cements Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s epic team-up as only the sixth MCU film to earn more than $600 million in domestic returns. The other top-performing MCU films are:

Inside Out 2 Outshines Deadpool & Wolverine for Summer’s Top Film
Despite its success, Deadpool & Wolverine was not the biggest blockbuster of the 2024 summer season. That honor belongs to Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2.
Although many predicted Deadpool & Wolverine would clinch the No. 1 spot over the summer, it was Inside Out 2 that took the crown with $650 million domestically. Deadpool & Wolverine followed closely behind at No. 2 with its $600-million milestone. Here are the summer’s top financial performers:
Summer 2024 Top-Grossing Films (Domestic)
1. Inside Out 2 ($650 million)
2. Deadpool & Wolverine ($600+ million)
3. Despicable Me 4 ($354.1 million)
4. Twisters ($258 million)
5. Bad Boys: Ride or Die ($194 million)
Globally, Inside Out 2 ($1.67 billion) and Deadpool & Wolverine ($1.25 billion) were the only two films to surpass the $1-billion mark during a summer season that otherwise struggled financially. Despicable Me 4 came close with a global haul of $913.8 million.
As we look forward to the rest of 2024, several highly anticipated titles are on the horizon to potentially redeem an otherwise lackluster summer season. Films such as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Wicked, Moana 2, Joker: Folie à Deux, Gladiator II, and Venom: The Last Dance are poised to make their mark in the fall and holiday seasons.
The much-anticipated Beetlejuice Beetlejuice kicks off post-summer releases and is set to hit theaters on September 6.
Stay tuned for more updates on these blockbuster contenders!
