Jamshedpur, September 19: As a significant part of Jamshedpur FC’s ongoing community engagement initiative, the club has extended an invitation to approximately 1200 students from RMS High School, Khutadih, to witness their first home match in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season. The Men of Steel are set to clash with Mumbai City FC at the renowned JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday at 5 PM.
Kundan Chandra, who heads Grassroots and Youth Development at Jamshedpur FC, visited the students on Thursday to rally their support for the hometown team. In his address, Chandra underscored the crucial role of local backing, asserting, “Your support is what matters. The team is doing well, and we need to stand behind them when they play in our home town.” This outreach aims to foster a strong sense of community and pride among young fans.
In addition to the match invitation, a painting competition was organized to further engage the students. Ten students were selected from this competition to serve as escort kids for the match. These young participants will have the unique honor of walking with the players onto the field before the game commences, an experience that promises to be both memorable and inspiring.
Jamshedpur FC returns to their home ground buoyed by an impressive 2-1 comeback victory against FC Goa. The team is eager to continue their winning streak as they face Mumbai City FC, aiming for their second win of the ISL season.
For fans eager to witness the excitement live, tickets are available for purchase at the box office situated next to Gate No. 1 on Straight Mile Road. Additionally, tickets can be conveniently booked online through the website ticketgenie.in.
