The upcoming series between Sri Lanka A and Pakistan Shaheens will now take place at the Pindi Cricket Stadium instead of the original venue, Islamabad Club Cricket Ground. This change happened because the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Islamabad Club management couldn’t agree on how to organize the event.
The Islamabad Club Cricket Ground is located very close to the Serena Hotel in the heart of Islamabad, just about one kilometer away. It was used before for Pakistan’s series against Bangladesh A, and its central location made things easier for everyone, especially in terms of security and transport. It also caused minimal disruption to daily life in the area, which was convenient for both the players and the local community. However, due to the disagreement, the matches will now be held at Pindi Cricket Stadium instead.
