Lahore Qalandars have named legendary English fast bowler Darren Gough as their new Head Coach for the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.
Darren Gough is no stranger to the team. He previously led Lahore Qalandars as Head Coach during the first-ever Global Super League last year, where the team delivered impressive performances and made it to the semi-finals. His return is expected to bring fresh energy and strategic expertise as the Qalandars aim to win the championship in PSL 10.
At 54, Darren Gough brings a wealth of experience both on and off the field. During his cricketing career from 1994 to 2006, he was one of England’s top fast bowlers and became the country’s leading wicket-taker in ODIs. After retiring, he stayed connected to the game as a cricket commentator and later took up key coaching and administrative roles. This includes being England’s bowling consultant in 2020 and serving as Managing Director of Cricket at Yorkshire.
With his proven leadership and deep knowledge of the game, Gough’s appointment could be a game-changer for Lahore Qalandars in their quest for PSL glory.
