Pakistan has announced its 16-member cricket team for the upcoming Physical Disability Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament is set to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from January 12 to January 21. The team, full of talented and determined players, left for Sri Lanka on Thursday night.
The announcement was made during an event held at the Moin Khan Cricket Academy, where officials shared details about the team’s preparations. The players were selected after participating in a special training and fitness camp led by Head Coach Sabih Azhar at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCA). This process ensured that only the best players, both in skill and fitness, were chosen to represent Pakistan.
Out of the 16 players, seven have been retained from the 2019 Physical Disability Series, while nine new promising players have joined the squad. The final team includes Abdullah Ijaz as captain, along with Muhammad Arsalan, Saifullah, Matloob Qureshi, Huzaifa Khan, Muhammad Noman, Shahid Watto, Muhammad Shahzad, Ghulam Muhammad, Hamza Hameed, Abdul Khaliq, Zubair Saleem, Mominullah, Abdul Basit, Hammad Shoukat, and Waqif Shah.
