Jodhpur (Rajasthan) [India], September 19 (ANI): The highly anticipated third season of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) is set to commence on Friday, and it brings with it a roster of iconic cricket umpires. The illustrious Billy Bowden, renowned for his eccentric signaling style, along with esteemed umpires Ranmore Martinesz and TV umpire Jerry Matibiri, will be officiating this season. Their involvement promises to elevate the level of excitement and professionalism in the league.

These three distinguished umpires are tasked with overseeing a total of 25 matches across four vibrant Indian cities: Jodhpur, Surat, Jammu, and Srinagar. Each city offers a unique atmosphere and a passionate fan base eager to witness cricketing legends in action.

Billy Bowden, celebrated for his dramatic and entertaining officiating style, shared his enthusiasm for joining the LLC. “The Legends are legends for a reason and it’s fantastic to be here for this opportunity. Everyone’s in great form, very competitive, and we are looking forward to a thrilling season. Jodhpur is a great place to go and a great place to umpire; it’s exciting to watch and be a part of the Legends League Cricket,” he stated.

Ranmore Martinesz echoed Bowden’s sentiments, expressing his admiration for the cricketing icons participating in the league. “To watch all the superstars in one place is really special. I have followed these legends from their youth matches. Their statuses are well-established, and it’s wonderful to see them back playing competitive cricket. Legends League Cricket is set for another fantastic season, and I am delighted to be part of it,” Martinesz said.

The LLC season will kick off at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur on September 20. Following this, the action moves to the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on September 27. The third leg takes place at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu from October 3. This venue holds historical significance as international cricket returned here after a 40-year hiatus, giving fans a long-awaited chance to see their heroes live.

The final leg of the LLC will be held at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar from October 9 to 16. Fans in Srinagar have been eagerly awaiting live cricketing action for nearly half a century, making this event particularly momentous.

Brent “Billy” Bowden’s reputation precedes him as one of the most famous cricket umpires, known for his flamboyant gestures and entertaining presence on the field. Ranmore Martinesz, who was named domestic umpire of the year in 2016, has also officiated in numerous World Cup matches as part of the ICC umpire panel. Jerry Matibiri and Nigel Llong, both ICC panelist umpires with World Cup experience, will also contribute their expertise to the league.
