Organized by the Angami Students’ Union, the event is being held at the iconic Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima.
In a riveting opening match, Jakhama YO showcased their dominance with a resounding 6-0 victory over Youngster FC. The match saw an impressive display of skill and teamwork, with Keduhoto Zao opening the scoring. Vikuto Tase followed with another goal, and Keneileho Khatso along with Kulse Zhotso each netted two goals to solidify their lead. Keneileho Khatso’s exceptional performance earned him the title of player of the match, highlighting his pivotal role in the team’s success.
The second match featured Sechü Zubza FC clashing with Magdaline CC in a closely contested game. Magdaline CC took an early lead with goals from Nosal Pucho and Dupisa Pucho within the first seven minutes, setting a challenging pace for their opponents.
