Moqi, China (Web Desk): Pakistan proudly clinched third place in the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy on Tuesday, emerging victorious over South Korea with an impressive 5-2 scoreline in Moqi, China.

In a riveting battle for the third spot, Pakistan found themselves trailing initially. Nevertheless, two dynamic braces from the talented duo Sufyan Khan and Hannan Shahid propelled the team to a triumphant finish. The Korean side took the early lead when their captain Lee Jungjun scored via a penalty corner at the start of the second quarter, leaving Pakistan goalless at halftime.

However, Pakistan’s resurgence was swift and decisive in the third quarter. Khan and Shahid showcased their prowess by netting two quick goals within a minute, turning the tide in Pakistan’s favor. The Koreans retaliated immediately to equalize, making the match intensely competitive. Haroon’s crucial goal restored Pakistan’s lead, setting the stage for an exhilarating conclusion.
