ACE Coalition Shuts Down Major Piracy Network Fmovies, Arrests Two Individuals

Today, the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE)—a formidable coalition comprising over 50 leading entertainment companies and production studios such as Amazon, Disney, and Warner Bros.—claimed partial credit for the shutdown of Fmovies, a widely-known network of streaming sites notorious for hosting pirated movies and television shows. In an official statement, ACE described Fmovies and its associated platforms as “the largest pirate streaming operation in the world.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, this significant takedown led to the arrest of two individuals by Hanoi police due to their involvement in the illegal streaming network.

ACE’s collaborative effort highlights a unified stance against digital piracy, emphasizing the importance of protecting intellectual property rights in the entertainment industry. The coalition’s success in this operation underscores its ongoing commitment to combatting piracy and safeguarding content creators’ revenue streams.

The apprehension of the two suspects marks a critical development in the fight against online piracy. These arrests are expected to disrupt the activities of Fmovies, sending a strong message to other illicit streaming operators about the legal consequences they may face.

By targeting major pirated content providers, ACE aims to reduce the prevalence of unauthorized streaming services that undermine the entertainment sector’s financial health. The coalition’s proactive measures demonstrate a strategic approach to preserving the integrity of creative works in an increasingly digital landscape.
